Wall Collapse at Chicago Ford Plant

A concrete wall collapsed at a Ford plant in South Side Chicago, leaving a construction worker dead and another critically injured. OSHA inspectors were alerted about the unsafe wall in 2014. The subcontractor is currently under investigation. According to attorneys at Coplan & Crane, OSHA regulations require both the subcontractor and a property owner–here, Ford Motor Company–to be responsible for insuring workplace safety. If OSHA rules are followed, these tragedies can be avoided.
